Hi Bim,
Thanks for the post card! What a wonderful idea. Just a week ago I gave away my collection of stationery, (from the old days when we used to have pen pals!) to a little friend, Mercy, hoping that she'll continue the letter writing tradition.
But where the hell is Sark? Hmmm let me ask google. Ahhhh...okay, its in the Channel Islands. Did you know that in the 17th Century Sark accumulated wealth through privateering? Arrrr Richies fleeing the revolution in France settled there in 1800s, thus the frenchy names...Creux Harbour, etc.
Well enough with the history lesson! Say bonjour to the missus, and a nudge to the charcoal chicken sized baby of yours! Not long now.....
An unusual communication project. Everyone loves to get mail - so long as it's not a bill. And if you know me and I've got your address, expect a postcard some time in the next 365 days. I hope not only to distract you from the bills, but to re-connect with you in what's becoming a quaint, old-fashioned way of communicating. For me, it's a chance to test my creative mind every day. Every postcard will be unique. Nothing written will be repeated. I'll be keeping a track of what I send to where. If you get a postcard, I hope you log on tell me what you think. I think it will be an interesting project and I'm not sure exactly how it will unfold. Check back to find out!
