What a delightful surprise to arrive back in Sydney from a Christmas and New Year spent in Brisbane and find waiting for me in my mail box a postcard from you. And what a postcard! Brisbane of the 70's, Joh, the police state, and of course my childhood. It's a damn good thing that time doesn't stand still and nothing stays the same.....
An unusual communication project. Everyone loves to get mail - so long as it's not a bill. And if you know me and I've got your address, expect a postcard some time in the next 365 days. I hope not only to distract you from the bills, but to re-connect with you in what's becoming a quaint, old-fashioned way of communicating. For me, it's a chance to test my creative mind every day. Every postcard will be unique. Nothing written will be repeated. I'll be keeping a track of what I send to where. If you get a postcard, I hope you log on tell me what you think. I think it will be an interesting project and I'm not sure exactly how it will unfold. Check back to find out!
