Dear Bim what a nice surprise to receive a postcard from you...! I am just doing a nightshift on our neonatal intensive care unit and I found a quiet moment to log onto 365POSTCARD!
I don't think that I can compare to Rhodesia to Leicester really... and by the way: I am hardly travelling as much any more compared to used to when I was young (hehe..). I love my work but during my annual leave I usually go to Austria now (even though this weekend I will be visiting a friend in Switzerland and in December I am going to Mexico... hold on, I still seem to be moving around a lot :-)).
Hope you are well! I would really love to visit you all in Australia - at the back of my head I still sometimes think about working in a hospital in Sydney or so...
An unusual communication project. Everyone loves to get mail - so long as it's not a bill. And if you know me and I've got your address, expect a postcard some time in the next 365 days. I hope not only to distract you from the bills, but to re-connect with you in what's becoming a quaint, old-fashioned way of communicating. For me, it's a chance to test my creative mind every day. Every postcard will be unique. Nothing written will be repeated. I'll be keeping a track of what I send to where. If you get a postcard, I hope you log on tell me what you think. I think it will be an interesting project and I'm not sure exactly how it will unfold. Check back to find out!

Flo! Thanks for checking in.
A very convoluted way of communication I suppose, but it all comes back to that joy of getting (or giving!) a card in the mail.
We do hope you do come back to Sydney before too long - to meet your host-nephew to be!!
And we could probably use some of that post-natal experience...
